Silver FX Inc.has a a great selection of beautifully hand crafted sterling silver jewelry.  Many of our pieces are one of a kind.  These include designs made with genuine baltic amber, semi-precious stones and hand carved BC Aboriginal Jewelry by many well renowned carvers.

You may return the item within 14 days of the original shipping date for an exchange or credit note.  Please note the following:

 

  • Shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • All original product packaging must be included for full product refund.
  • Earrings are non-refundable for health reasons. (If faulty please contact us)
  • To ensure proper credit, this form must be completed and enclosed with your return.

Birthstones

The modern Birthstone list contains the official birthstone list from the American National Association of Jewelers, Jewelers of America. These gemstones were officially adopted in 1912. In the US, this is the accepted list.

How to Clean and Care for Jewelry

We are constantly being asked which is the best way to clean silver.

Below are some helpful hints and products that will help keeping your silver looking shiny and new:

We recommend a Sunsine Polishing Cloth to brighten up your Jewelry.

This is a thick soft cloth embedded with a gentle silver cleaning agents to safely clean sterling silver jewelry.

Purchase these cloths here for only $5.00 each.

These Sunshine Polishing Cloths will last you a very long time and can be used many many times.

Keep in mind that silver is quite soft and can be scratched , so be sure to clean your piece gently.

 

How can you prevent the Silver from Tarnishing?

Try keeping your silver jewelry stored in Zip-loc Baggies.

This will help keep your Sterling Silver Jewelry looking bright and shiny

 

HOW TO CARE FOR  AMBER:

While amber is durable enough to withstand millenia, it is also fragile. Even so, caring for amber jewelry couldn't be easier.

Your new amber is alive. The stones are still breathing & interacting with the environment. The colour may change over time this is expected & contributes to the unique, intensely individual nature of amber. Each piece of amber ages differently. Each is composed of different combinations of plant materials & fossil inclusions. Science has yet to replicate the chemical signature of amber in the laboratory, so amber retains not only beauty, but also a bit of mystery.

Because amber is brittle, the owner should avoid allowing it to come into sharp contact with hard surfaces. For example, the owner should take an extra moment to set it down on a dressing table rather than casually tossing it.

Store amber away from direct sunlight.

If luster is ever a concern, simply apply a tiny drop of olive oil & rub with soft flannel. "Less is more" with the olive oil.

If the amber itself becomes dirty you can clean it in a mild soap and water

If your piece is surrounded with silver you can polish the silver with a silver polishing cloth. Make sure no harsh chemical cleaners come into contact with your amber.

If you follow these easy guidelines, your amber jewelry will reward you with a lifetime of service & wonder.

It will stay just as beautiful as it is the day you purchased it.

 

Native Symbols

 

Bear:

The Bear is known for it's great strength and hunting abilities.  It is a symbol of great strength, power, authority and honour.  It can be identified by its short snout, canine teeth and claws.

 

Eagle:

The Eagle is the king of the birds.  He is revered for his beauty and majestic or regal nature. He is respected the most of all birds and represents wisdom, power, peace, spirituality and friendship.  The Eagle is recognized by it's hooked beak.

 

Frog:

The frog is a symbol of innocence, communication and stability.  It is known as a speaker or communicator, cleanser of spirit, bringer of wealth, and family stability.

 

Hummingbird:

The Hummingbird is known for its fortitude and ability to overcome great obstacles.  It is a gentle creature and joyful spiritual messenger.  The coming of a hummingbird symbolizes peace, healing and joy.  

 

Killer Whale:

The Killer Whale is the Traveller and Lord or Guardian of the Ocean.  The most respected of all the sea creatures. Legends say that great chiefs of the past have been transformed into these powerful creatures.  The Killer Whale symbolizes long life and wealth.

 

Loon:

Symbolizes imagination, independence, harmony

 

Moon:

The Moon spirit is said to watch over us and has the ability to affect our moods.  The moon lightens the darkness of the night. The moon is a protector and guardian. 

 

Raven:

The Raven, also known as the trickster because of his wit and sense of humour.  He is quick and curious and legend has it that he brought light to the earth.  The Raven represents creativity, prestige, knowledge and can be identified by its long straight beak.

   

Salmon:

The salmon symbolizes prosperity, provider and dependability as well as source of life.  Salmon have always been a significant part of westcoast native life and were caught in great numbers each year.  The salmon runs were a staple in the diet of the Kwakuitl 

 

Sun:

Legend says that the sun was released from a box by the Raven. The sun chief inhabited the sky and could be reached by climbing a chain of arrows.  He descended by sliding down its long rays.  The Sun symbolizes healing energy, abundant life, beauty and peace

 

Swan:

Symbolizes fidelity, love, faithfulness

 

Thunderbird:

The Thunderbird is the most powerful of all mythical animals. The legend is that his wings made thunder and his eyes shot lightening.  It is distinguishable by it's ears.  The Thunderbird symbolizes personal power and a link to the spirit world.

 

Copper:

The Copper is a symbol of wealth, prestige and heritage. Had great importance in ceremonial life for weddings and naming ceremonies.  The copper was given between tribal nobility from one family to another symbolizing a joining of the families.

 

Wolf:

The wolf is known for its spiritual powers.  It is a symbol of family, unity or togetherness, loyalty and spirituality.  The wolf looks similar to the bear but it's snout is longer and more pointed.

Agate - This semi-precious stone gives general protection and healing, increases courage, helps increase self-confidence and energy and promotes longevity.

Amber - heightens creativity, it helps you accept change and follow your dreams. Healing stone that is soothing, calming and brings about a positive attitude.  Amber is said to bring good luck. 

Amethyst - contentment, spirituality, dreams, healing, peace, happiness, love and intuition.

Carnelian - This is a general healing stone. It helps to restore the natural energy flow of your body. It  increases physical energy, personal power, confidence, motivation, concentration, initiative.

Citrine: intuition, comfort, protection, creativity, physical energy, wealth, mental awakening.

Chrysoprase: is said to facilitate self-expression, courage and ability to use them wisely.  Is believed to bring happiness partly because it is said to help you get rid of negative thoughts and irritability.

Coral- diplomacy, quieting emotions, visualization

Fresh Water Pearls: These promote sincerity, truth and loyalty.  Also is said to enhance personal integrity, soothes, calms, yet focuses attention.

Garnet - health, removing negativity, awareness, commitment, regeneration, order, insight.

Hematite - mental attunement, memory, calming, balance, focusing energy and emotions, peace, inner happiness, transforming negativity.

Howlite - awareness, calm, emotional expression, observation, patience, eliminating negativity.

Iolite - helps one to stay in the moment and bring harmony to the self within, which is really helpful in not getting distracted when you are trying to meditate. Iolite also helps eliminate and release discord in relationships.

Jade - helps with wisdom, mercy, humility, generosity, peace, and harmony. Protective and lucky when worn as jewellery.

Jasper - protection, joy, awareness, balancing of physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual energies.

Labradorite - alignment, spiritual connection, transformation, clarity, peace, progression.  Helps reveal your spiritual destiny to you.

Lapis Lazuli - wisdom, intuition, awareness, objectivity, clarity, creativity, expanded consciousness, dreams, purity, courage and serenity.

Malachite - transformation, insight, clarifying emotions, fidelity and loyalty.

Prynite:  said to ease worries and restlessness of all kinds.  Stone of protection - stengthens life force and stimulates energy

Rhodonite - peace, generosity and attention to details

Rose Quartz:- The universal meaning of rose quartz is as a stone of love and is great for attracting love. Promotes self-loving and heals emotional wounds as well as promoting peace, forgiveness, and nurturing and emotional healing. 

Rutilated Quartz: Aids in healing and releases troubled thoughts and feelings.  Relieves tension, bringing forth each person's strengths and originality.  Helps in relating to others.

Smokey Quartz - dissolving emotional blockage, clearing the mind, cooperation, personal pride, joy in living, attentiveness to the moment, protection.

Sodalite - wisdom, logic, calmness, healing, stress reduction, companionship, self-esteem.

Sunstone - alleviating fears, energizing, cleansing.

Tanzanite - communication, intuition, protection, symmetry, decision-making, spirituality.

Tiger's eye or Cat's eye - clear thinking, helps in manifesting will, courage, and confidence. Promotes balance and strength to get through difficult phases of life; relieves doubt and bestows decision making with vision and clarity. Helps one to be practical.

Topaz - true love, success in endeavors, understanding of interrelationships, expression of ideas, trust, health, personal expansion and growth.
